Members of the Hearing & Balance Centre team are regularly invited to community functions to provide information and talks to the general public. This may be in the form of hearing aid demonstrations, or providing advice on noise exposure and hearing loss. Our physiotherapist is often invited to teach people about balance and safety awareness. Maria Harasymczuk is a regular speaker on the management of tinnitus.

Each year during Hearing Awareness Week (the last week in August), the Hearing & Balance Centre holds an open day. For more information go to Hearing Awareness Week Open Day.

Whatever the topic or venue, we are happy to provide information on hearing and balance issues, hearing aid information and more to the general public. There is usually no cost involved but we do request that plenty of notice is given!
